In a joint effort with the United States, our attorneys successfully established the right of tribal health contractors in Alaska to collect third-party reimbursements in U.S. and Norton Sound Health Corp. v. Bering Strait School District, 138 F.3d 1281 (9th Cir. 1998).
Federal Trust Responsibility
- Provide counsel and representation to tribes on matters related to the federal government’s management of tribal lands and resources.
- Advise tribes on compensation issues related to leasing resources including coal, oil, gas, geothermal heat and farm leasing, among other tribal resources.
